Stakeholder Interview

The client is Gabrielle Racelis (and Peeve, her cat), a cheerful and quirky interior designer who uses embroidery as an art therapy. She commissioned me to create a website for her embroidery passion project called Tahi-Tahi. Based on our discussions, she was inclined to redesign the old logo of her project and establish a stronger online presence to showcase her products.

She wanted a neutral design with pastel colors and a calm, minimalist mood, something along the lines of boho-chic and minimalism.

User Stories

Based on what I learned from my previous project, BusNavi, I created personas and user stories to align with the expectations of the target users for the website.

User Flows

User flows were sketched and created digitally to visualize the users' interaction better. With a clear understanding of their journey, I proceeded to work on the site map, organizing the information architecture in a user-friendly manner.

For the initial design to present to Gabrielle, my focus was on one flow from the perspective of the Emily persona. This flow involves enabling users to access and add items to their wish list.

Site Map

A site map was then developed after coming up with User Stories and Flows.

Explorations for the bus scheduling app using duotone palette, creating a visually engaging and dynamic aesthetic.

Visual Design

The focus was on creating a conventional yet creative ecommerce website that would effectively translate Tahi-tahi's unique design aesthetic into the various components used throughout the website.

I made this study to understand the fundamentals of building a digital platform custom made for a creative client.
